Mrs. Kathleen Owens, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, CARN-AP is a full-time, licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner serving Adolescents and Adults with Mental Health Treatment needs and substance use disorders either Dependence on prescription opioid pain prescriptions or Addiction to Alcohol or other drugs. Services are offered confidentially and discretely on an outpatient basis, or by secure telehealth platform services from the convenience of your home.

Mrs. Owens has more than 20 years of nursing experience in community mental health, outpatient chronic care management and hospital settings. Mrs. Owens most recently worked as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in non-profit, community mental health and addiction recovery treatment center in Naples, FL and Cincinnati, OH. Mrs. Owens has expertise in mood disorders, depression, anxiety, bipolar syndromes, ADHD, ADD and substance use disorders including alcohol abuse and opioid dependence often associated with chronic pain. Mrs. Owens previously honed her Advanced Nursing skills, Assessment, Diagnosis, Planning, and Treatment Management with more than a decade as a Registered Nurse in a hospital trauma center managing Children, Adolescents and Adults.

A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Owens earned a Post Master’s Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Cincinnati, her Master of Science in Nursing, concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner, from Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio,

Mrs. Owens has a dual certification by the American Nursing Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Mrs. Owens is additionally certified by the Addictions Nursing Certification Board in Advanced Practice. Mrs. Owens is also waivered to provide Medication Assisted Treatment for Opioid dependence with Buprenorphine (Suboxone). Mrs. Owens has been an associate member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, American Nurses Association, and the Psychiatric Nurses Association for the past 7 years, with expert clinical skills in Advanced Psychiatric Care diagnosis and treatment management.
